I’m a part-time physician, an all-the-time mom, and a find-the-time writer. I live with my long-suffering husband, four energetic kids, and mini labradoodle Gingersnap in the Salt Lake valley. When I’m not exploring the beautiful mountains of Northern Utah or taking care of patients with devastating injuries, you can find me holed up with my laptop or reading a novel.
My medical career is focused on caring for veterans with visible and invisible disabilities, and I’m passionate about improving quality of life and wellness in veterans, especially amputees. I’m on faculty at the University of Utah and love teaching and mentoring residents and med students.
I escape my regular, chaotic life often to indulge in a fictional world either by reading or writing. My writing has appeared in a variety of journals, both print and online. I’m currently working on a novel about two best friends and the secrets between them.
